William "Blake" Wright

June 8, 1997 — March 13, 2025

William “Blake” Wright, age 27, of Asheboro, NC, passed away unexpectedly on March 13, 2025, in Kuwait, while working as a civilian aircraft mechanic specializing in F18 aircraft for Kay and Associates.

A proud Navy veteran, Blake was stationed at Naval Air Station Lemoore and successfully deployed three times on the CVN 68 USS Nimitz, CVN 71 Teddy Roosevelt, and CVN 70 USS Carl Vinson. During his service, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Navy Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon, and National Defense Service Medal. Beyond his military service, Blake was a kind, generous, hardworking, and determined individual who always put others before himself. He was a graduate of Fort Mill High School and York Technical College.

In his free time, Blake was passionate about gaming. He could often be found connecting with friends and family through his love of gaming. His humor, kindness, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Blake unlocked new abilities and will be deeply missed by his loving family: his mother, Annett Wright; his father, Roy Hanschu; his sisters, Kailey Barker, Lensi Hernandez-Martinez, Susan Wright, Grace Wright, and Allie Wright; and his brothers, Isaac Lambe, Logan Lambe, and Daniel Cobos; and many grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins that loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends to celebrate Blake's life and his lasting impact on Saturday, March 29, 2025, beginning at 10 a.m., with a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. with Military honors to follow at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207.
