Vera L. Mehl Sweazy, age 80, of Columbus, died May 12, 2008 at Manor Care Health Center in Westerville. Member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Graduate of Hamilton Township High School Class of 1946. Preceded in death by previous husband, James L. Mehl and son, James Michael Mehl. Survived by husband, Larry Sweazy; brother, George L. (Carolyn) Young of Groveport; children, Bob (Christine) Pitts of Sunbury, OH., Bonnie (Steve) Fox of Columbus, Kathy McDaniel of Westerville, Marcene (Larry) Santacrose of Romeo, MI., Bill (Debbie) Sweazy Brad (Beth) Sweazy all of Hillsboro and Bobby Sweazy of Columbus;

15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Russell (Susan) Shurburn of Tulsa, OK; 2 nieces, 1 nephew and other relatives. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St. Service Thursday at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Road, Columbus Oh., with viewing from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m., Pastor Tim Muller officiating. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Ascension Lutheran Church or the American Diabetes Assocation.
