Vera Florence (Southall) Mercer, age 88, born February 5, 1927 in Reese Station, Ohio to Robert and Alma (Glick) Southall, died November 6, 2015 in Waverly, Ohio.
Preceded in death by husband, George F. Mercer; daughter, Edna (Mercer) Fullen; sons, Robert and George M. Mercer; parents, 6 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 grandson, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Susan Mercer of Reese Station; daughter and son-in-law Elaine (Mercer) and Danny Sturgill of Waverly; brother, Howard (Lynda) Southall of Grove City; sister, Betty Slark of Circleville; 17 grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
Vera worked in the lab at Grant Hospital for nearly 30 years. She was a member of Obetz Church of the Nazarene. Vera lived her entire 88 years in Reese Station. The past 6 months being spent with her daughter in Waverly due to her health issues. When she passed Vera was under the wonderful care of Adena Hospice and the family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be directed to Adena Hospice.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St, where service will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. (visitation one hour prior to service), Chaplain Kevin Greene officiating. Interment to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
