Velma Phipps

Velma Phipps, age 85, of Columbus, passed away January 17, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Graduate of Columbus South High School, Class of 1947. Preceded in death by husband, Richard Phipps; parents, Andrew and Julia Kritzer; sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Lund and Ethel Stauch. Survived by daughters, Pamela (Bruce) Aument of Columbus and Becky (John) Flais of Summerfield, NC; 4 grandchildren, Geoffrey Aument, Natalie Aument, Madeline (Jeremy) McArthur, and Joseph Flais; nieces and nephews. Velma was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed. Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 11 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel (St. Joseph Cemetery), 6440 S. High St., Lockbourne, Ohio, Fr. Nicholas Droll, Celebrant.
