Thomas Ellis

ELLIS Thomas Kent Ellis, age 72, of Columbus, passed away on October 14, 2011. Tom was born June 7, 1939 in Fayette County, OH to Clara Virginia Ellis and Harold Kenneth Ellis. Tom was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was an experienced meat cutter, retired from The Ohio Packing Company. He was a member of American Legion Post 0888. Tom will be sadly missed by his many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother Leroy M. Ellis. Tom is survived by his companion, Shirley Meade; sons, Thomas K. Ellis, Jr., Ashville, OH, Ricky L. Ellis, Ashville, OH, Sean Ellis, Cincinnati, OH; sister, Jackie (Glenn) Hursey, Pataskala, OH; brothers, Paul (Bobbi) Ellis of Lexington, NC, Roger (Charlane) Ellis of North Canton, OH; sister-in-law, Kay Ellis of Obetz, OH; grandchildren, Hayden M. Ellis and Jacob T. Ellis; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends beginning Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. with memorial service to follow at 10:30 a.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Columbus, OH 43207. Pastor Ron Reese officiating Private internment for family only will follow the memorial service at Fernwood Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
