Staff Sgt. Mark D. Chandler Jr., age 25, went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2011 in Columbus, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Georgia. Staff Sergeant with U.S. Army currently stationed at Ft. Benning Georgia and previously Ft. Bragg NC. Mark served two tours of duty, one in Afghanistan and one in Iraq. He is a 2004 graduate of Hamilton Township High School and member of Parsons Baptist Church. Mark was an avid scuba diver and pilot who loved hiking and lived life to the fullest every minute. Preceded in death by grandfather, Arvile Conley. Survived by parents, Carol and William Farabaugh of Columbus and Mark and Wanda Chandler of Port Clinton, OH; siblings, Will, Nikki, and Bobby Farabaugh, Tim Cousino, and Jen (Chris) McCumber; nephew and niece who were his God children, Jalen McCumber and Shilynn McCumber; grandparents, Jean Chandler of Norwalk, OH., Don and Judy Chandler of Polk City, FL., Emma and Woodrow Lewis of New London, OH, and Sandra Conley of Youngstown, OH; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, friends and the love of his life, Shannon Roberts. Visitation Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street. Service Tuesday 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service at Parson Baptist Church, 3930 Parsons Ave., Columbus, OH 43207, Pastor Charles Blake officiating.
