Shirley M. Castle

Shirley Marie Castle of Columbus, born September 7, 1935, reunited with her husband of 57 years, Kenneth “Buck” Castle, March 29, 2022.  Preceded in death by their sons, Kevin Eugene and Colin Lee; parents, Ralph and Lillian Carr.  Survived by son, Duane Michael “Mike”; daughter in law, Nancy; nephew, David (Trina) Richardson and niece, Misty Richardson; grandsons, Colin B. (Amanda) and Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Tatum, Lincoln and Berkley; brothers, Glen and Ed (Suzie) Carr and many nephews and nieces.

Fluent in sign-language her entire life, Shirley was a proud graduate from Central High School and would help coordinate the alumni gatherings after retiring from a career in the insurance industry to care for her husband. The loving matriarch of the family, Shirley also had an affinity for dogs and cats.

Family will receive friends and family, Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S High St., Columbus, Ohio 43207, where service we be held Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 10 a.m., Pastor Todd Richards officiating.
