Ruth A. McClain

Ruth A. McClain, age 87, of Columbus, passed away December 27, 2021. Longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church where she served as church organist. Ruth loved to sew and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by husband, Donald McClain; parents, George and Clara Maassel; siblings, Paul, Lester, Juanita, Lois, and Norman. Survived by daughters, Diane (John) Bengson, Lynne (Joe) Coen, and Lisa (Jim) Elliott; grandchildren, Shaun (Abigail), Lise, Emma (Nikki) Bengson, Sarah and Anna Weimer, and Nicole and Emily Elliott; great-grandchild, Louis Bengson; siblings, Delmar, Richard (Carol) Maassel, and Miriam (Leonard) Neumann; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family will receive friends, Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 3 - 6 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43207. Funeral service Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 766 S. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43206 with Pastor Wes Hromowyk officiating. Interment to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park, Lewis Center, Ohio.
