Ruth J. Musick, age 85, gently passed away at Grant Medical Center on January 28, 2009. Preceded in death by parents, Ray and Nona (Steele) Booth, siblings Rex, Phyllis, and Sue (Borders). As part of the "Great American Generation" Ruth left her birthplace in Logan WV, to move to Columbus to work at the Columbus Quartermaster Depot (DSCC). Following WWII, she returned to Logan and became the wife of Claude Musick who preceded her in death. Her greatest joy was being "Mother" to her only child, Karen. Later, Ruth returned to Columbus and worked at the Ohio National Guard and eventually retired from the Veteran's Administration, following 30 years of federal service. Ruth was a long standing member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, German Village Society and the Marion Village Society. She will be fondly remembered for her love of the Lord, her quick wit, love of antiques, glassware, decorating, shopping, politics, family and friends. Survived by daughter Karen Musick; sister Lois (James) Nelson; Debbie Nelson Little, Dee Debenport, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins with whom she maintained close contact. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Grant Medical Center and Regency Hospital and the HMS physicians for the care and support they provided Ruth and her family during a very difficult time. Family will receive friends Sunday 2-5 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where funeral will be held Monday 10:30 a.m., service will be officiated by her cousin Rev. Curtis Booth. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
