Ruth Money

Ruth Evelyn Money, age 79, died peacefully on September 9, 2014 after a long struggle with cancer. Ruth was born May 12, 1935 in Thacker, W.Va. The daughter of the late Russell and Bertha Elkins of W. Virginia, she was the eldest of 15 children. In 1953, Ruth married the love of her life, Daniel C. Money whom she was married to for 49 years. They moved to a small home in Columbus, OH. In addition to raising their three children, Russell, James, and Ronnie, she also loved her church and music. Ruth was easy to talk to and treated everyone as if she had known them forever. People often gathered on her porch to sing the gospel with her or to simply say hello. She often said she loved her children more than anything, and she did. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Money; son, James Money; siblings, Phyllis, Barbara, Roger, and Russell Jr. She is survived 2 sons, Russell (Babette) Money of Circleville and Ronnie D. Money of Columbus; daughter-in-law, Becky Money. 9 brothers and 1 sister all of Michigan; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren of Columbus; many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday September 12, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Saturday 10 a.m., Rev. Joe McDowell officiating.
