Ruth McCarty

Ruth Ann McCarty, age 68, of Columbus, former resident of Deer Lake Park in Winter Haven, Florida went home to be with Jesus November 12, 2008. Life-long Baptist. Attended Williams Road Freewill Baptist Church. Longtime employee with Columbus Public Schools. Preceded in death by parents, Richard and Martha Belcher; sisters, Delse Goff and Margie Thompson and brother, Joseph Belcher. Survived by children, Lisa (Michael) Burkholder, Peggy (Mark) Mason, Linda (Pepe) McCarty, Rebecca (Dwight) Schneider, James McCarty and Ervin (Chrissy) McCarty and their father, Jim McCarty; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ada Freeman and Alice Ramey; brother, Eugene Belcher; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation Sunday 2-5 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Columbus, Ohio. Service Monday 12 noon at Williams Road Freewill Baptist Church 1100 Williams Rd., Columbus, Ohio, Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the church.
