Ruth Hawthorne Burchett, age 88, went Home to be with Jesus on March 4, 2023. She lived a long and full life and passed away peacefully at home. She was retired from ABB after 21 years of service. Member of Reese Chapel Church for 61 years. Ruth had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Preceded in death by first husband, James “Buddy” Hawthorne; son, Jimmie Hawthorne, and grandson, Joseph Hawthorne; brothers, Gordon and Ray Horsley; sister, Venus Bates. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Emmit Burchett, daughter-in-law, Sharon Hawthorne, sons, Tim (Cindy) Hawthorne, Rocky (Debra) Hawthorne, daughter, Joanie (Greg) Behrens; grandchildren, Kevin (Kim) Hawthorne, Amy Hawthorne, Ryan (Ashley) Hawthorne, Nicholas Hawthorne, Jeffrey (Fabiola Peñalba) Hawthorne, Katelyn Hawthorne, Alicia and Micala Behrens; step-daughter, Emma (Rick) Moore; step-grandchildren, Justin Hamilton, Chole (James) Haines, and Emilie Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Kyle Hawthorne, Samantha and Jake Hall, Jordyn Hawthorne, Elliana, Everly, Theodore, and Genevieve Hawthorne; step-grandchildren, Brandon and Olivia; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family will receive friends, Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 2 to 5 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Monday, March 13, 2023, at 10 a.m., Rev.
