Roxie E. Cox was born on February 1, 1941 in Kirk, WV. She is preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Brookie Beckett, father-in-law, Alley Cox, brother Ralph Beckett, brother-in-law, Jim Sanders and a great-grandson, Chase Jayden Mustang-Cox. She will be remembered and missed by husband, Ronald Cox; children, Ronnie (Quinn) Cox, Kym (Doug) Yeager; grandchildren, Tabitha (JJ) Takala, Elizabeth Yeager, Christopher Cox, and Doug Yeager, Jr.; sisters, Lovada (Bennie) Fitzpatrick of Carroll, Oh., Dora Lee (Ralph) Damron of Dunlow, WV., Betty (John) Reed of Inez, Ky., Reva (Jeff) Wallace of Lavalette, WV., and Karen (Charlie) Bowen of Proctorville, Oh; brothers, Charles (Fonda) Beckett of Buffalo, WV., Johnny (Mary), Tommy (Patsy) and Roy (Kathy) Beckett all of Wayne, WV., and special family friends, Randy George and Brenda Williams. She is also a beloved aunt to 36 nieces and nephews, 57 great-nieces and great-nephews and 4 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Throughout the years Roxie has served her community in many ways including serving as treasurer in several associations including Parsons Baptist Church, where she was a member, Marion Franklin Boosters, First Ladies Bowling League, and many others. Roxie was recently inducted into the Marion Franklin Hall of Fame and crowned Pageant Parent of the Year by the Ohio American Coed Pageants. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Family will receive friends Saturday December 22, 2007 from 2-4 and 6 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Pastor Roger Maynard officiating. Additional calling hours in Wayne, WV., on Sunday 4-8 p.m. at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home, Route 152, Wayne, West Virginia where funeral service will be held Monday 10 a.m., Pastor Orville Damron officiating.
