Robert A. Vance (Bob), 88, passed away January 3,2012 at the Diley Ridge Medical Center. He was born January 3, 1924 to the late Charles and Reatha Vance. He was preceded in death by his brother Walter Vance and sister Marjorie Autio.

Bob is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bonnie Jane Vance. Formerly of Dorset, Ohio they relocated to Canal Winchester, OH to live closer to their son, Bob and his family. Bob is survived by his children Robert G. (Rosi) Vance, Canal Winchester, OH; Bruce A. (Chris) Vance, Jefferson, OH and their daughter, Gail J. (Mike) Ball, Clarksville,TN, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Donald Vance, Rapid City, MI, sister Ellen Longton of Florida and many other loving relatives and friends.

Bob served his country in World War II as a medic in the US Army. He was a long time member of the Ashtabula County Farm Bureau and the local Lion's Club. Bob was a dairy farmer for most of his married life and later worked in the trucking industry.

Inurnment of cremains will be performed in the Mancelona Township Cemetery in Mancelona, MI. Arrangements were entrusted to GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street. Contributions in Bob's memory can be mailed to Canal Winchester Family Services/Food Pantry, 22 South Trine Street, Canal Winchester, OH 43110.
