Robert "Bruce" Shannon, 83, passed away suddenly at home. Born June 20, 1927 in Louisa, KY to the late Charles Shannon and Bertha Roberts Shannon. Preceded in death by beloved wife of 56 years, Myrtle McCarly O'Brien Shannon, parents, brothers Charles and William, sisters Mary Heck, Jacqueline Murday, and Alegra Simpson; sons-in-Law Donald Faist and Matthew Starrett. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman, appreciated the natural world, and lived his life on his own terms. He was a WWII U.S.Army Veteran and a member of VFW 3761 Fish & Game Club. He retired from Omar Bakery after 27yrs, and Croson Mechanical after another 27yrs. Survived by sister, Joanne Damron, Brother-in-Law, Ray Heck, step-daughters Patricia Faist and Mary Starrett, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces & nephews, relatives & friends. Family will receive friends Tuesday beginning at 12:30 p.m. with service to follow at 2 p.m., at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St, Pastor Floyd L. Stozenburg officiating.
