Robert Patton SR

Robert L. Patton, Sr., age 73, died peacefully on December 8, 2008 at Mt. Carmel East. He was born in Grove City, PA and raised in Sugarcreek, PA. Robert was married on December 6, 1957 to Donna (Earley) who survives. He was discharged from the U.S. Air Force at Lockbourne Air Base in 1962 and has resided in Columbus ever since. Retired from Sears Roebuck. Charter member of The Living Word Church for 40 years and has faithfully attended Heritage Free Will Baptist Church for the past 3 years. Preceded in death by parents, Ivan and Pauline Patton, brothers Kenneth and Gerald and a grandson, Trevor Lee Patton. His survivors are sons, Robert, Jr. (Dorothy) of Harvard, Illinois and Curtis (Rachel) of Columbus; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Paul Patton, James (Beverly) Patton and Jack (Diane) Patton; sister Shirley (Arlo) Heller. Visitation Friday 5-8 p.m. at Heritage Free Will Baptist Church, 575 Obetz Rd., where service will be held Saturday 10 a.m., Pastor Tim Stout officiating. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
