Richard A. Young, age 67, of Baltimore, Ohio, passed away November 8, 2015 at home surrounded by family. He fought a hard battle of lung cancer. Doctors gave him 6-9 months to live, Jesus gave him a year and 5 months.
U.S. Army Veteran. Member of Heritage Free Will Baptist Church. Member of Apostle Quartet; Retired from U.S. Postal Service after 27 years of service. Graduate of South High School Class of 1967.
Preceded in death by parents, Ivan Sr. and Clara Young; brothers, Ivan Jr., and Jack Young;
Survived by wife, Linda Young; daughters, Raquel Young and Tammy Senter; grandchildren, Alexa Young, Derick Jessica, and Tyler Senter; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Lyons and Hunter Senter; special cousins, nieces, and nephews; special friends, Jerry Salyers, Brian Hammond, and many friends from U.S. Postal Service, high school, and church.
Richard was an amazing and supportive dad and husband and story teller. He loved music, Jesus, and visiting special family in Kentucky and friends from high school. Enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, fishing, camping and was a big time OSU Buckeye fan. Richard could make anyone laugh, was a great cook and artist and loved his dog Max.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Thursday 10 a.m., Rev. Dr. Tim Stout officiating.
