Richard W. Davey, age 91, formerly of Upper Arlington, currently of Mayfair Village in Columbus passed away July 31, 2007 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born in Bellaire, Ohio to parents, Anne and William Davey. Founder and CEO of The Davey-Fitch Company. Lifetime member of the Bellaire High School Alumni Association. Charter member and past president of the South Optimist Club of Columbus. Sixty year member of York Lodge # 563 F&AM. Longtime member of Maynard Avenue United Methodist Church where he served as Lay Leader, President of the Official Board, song leader for the Sunday School and was manager of the church booth at the Ohio State Fair for several decades. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jeane Fitch Davey. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen D. Woodrow (John T. Woodrow) of Columbus; grandchildren, Thomas DeWitt Woodrow (Shannon Wilson), Julie Anne Woodrow (Clifford O. Lewis)and John David Woodrow (Stephanie D. Woodrow); great-grandchildren, Clayton Woodrow Lewis, Shaun Thomas Wilson-Woodrow, Jess DeWitt Wilson-Woodrow, Elliot Francois Wilson-Woodrow, Nadia Jolee Woodrow and Mariella Colette Wilson-Woodrow. Family will receive friends Thursday 5-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St. Private family graveside service Friday followed by interment at Davis Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio, Rev. James Hoff officiating.
