Ralph Roof

Ralph U. Roof, age 97, of Columbus, passed away April 20, 2015 at Scioto Community. Member of Walnut Hill United Methodist Church, Groveport Lodge No. 240 F & AM, and Columbus Sertoma, where he was president in 1969 and 1970. Past president of Hamilton Township Local Schools Board of Education; Retired president of Meat Cutters District Union 346. Ralph enjoyed fishing at Rice Lake in Canada and loved the Cincinnati Reds. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nolene; daughter, Judy Jacob and great-grandson, Jacob Zang. Survived by children, Dayle (Alene) Roof of Lockbourne, Beverly (Tom) Bedell of Michigan, and Carol (Jim) Detty of Groveport;13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Family will receive friends, Wednesday April 22, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. (Masonic Service 7:30 p.m.) at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street. Service Thursday 10 a.m. at Walnut Hill United Methodist Church, 975 Rathmell Rd., Columbus, OH 43207, Rev. Ruth Solo officiating. Interment to follow at Harrison Township Cemetery.
