Paul Harris

Paul A. Harris, age 70, of Port Orange, Florida, left us suddenly on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Paul was born on January 27, 1944 in Ithaca, New York to Vola Allen Harris and Lorin Harris. He graduated from Utah State University in 1966 with a degree in Accounting. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He also was a member of the National Guard. Paul was a "Jack of all Trades" and could do anything to which he put his mind. He held many careers throughout his life, including investor, contractor, stock broker and co-owner of a manufacturing company. In his free time Paul enjoyed flying, golfing, biking, skiing, wake boarding, sailing and being with his beloved family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vola Allen Harris and Lorin Harris, and brother, Richard Harris. Survivors include his loving wife, Janet S. Harris, Port Orange, Florida; children, Jay Harris of San Francisco, California, Beau (Katherine) Harris of Windsor Vermont, Parker Harris of Seattle, Washington; step-children, Jennifer (Dan) Davia of Erie Colorado, Jeff (Deysha) Hicks of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Kieli Davia, Lauren Davis, Fiona Davia, Tyller Hicks, Emmalee Hicks; sisters, Julie (Jonathan) Bullen of Park City, Utah, Lorraine (Paul) Randle of Logan, Utah; sister-in-law Nancy (George) Carrico of Groveport, Ohio; many nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral service was held this past Sunday, June 1, 2014, in Port Orange, Florida. Graveside Service Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Eastlawn Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio, Rev. Timothy Ahrens officiating. Local arrangements by GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Columbus, Ohio.
