Mildred Rose

Mildred Rose of Columbus Ohio, age 87, passed away on May 9, 2024. She was born in Belo, West Virginia, on January 19, 1937. Mildred led a fulfilling life of faith as a Christian and loved her family dearly. She loved to entertain playing music on her guitar. In her youth, she enjoyed playing softball and bowling with her friends. All who knew her, knew she was always up for a good conversation that included lots of laughs. Her laugh, smile and outgoing personality was infectious and left an impact on everyone she met. Her generosity will always be remembered and her unique cards for any occasion will certainly be missed.  

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Sheppard and Della Meade; her loving husband of 49 years Robert Rose; her son, Davy Rose and her brother Orville Sheppard. She was, a beloved mother, and will be dearly missed by her loving children, Deana (Ted) Kramer, Robert "Marty" (Karen) Rose Jr., and Angela (Mike) Robinson. Mildred cherished her grandchildren, Jason (Jodie) Robinson, Amy (CJ) Burchfield, Robbie (Barbara) Rose III, Megan (Duane) Rider and Melody (Craig) Bailey, as well as her great grandchildren, Chaz Simmermon, Ella Rose, Brent Bates, Joel Robinson, Jacob Rider, Molly Rose Bates, Nevaeh Burchfield, Davy Rose, Ashton Bailey, Jonas Robinson, Benjamin Burchfield, Jackson Bailey, Adilynn Burchfield and Nevaeh Rider. Also survived by her brothers Jack (Betty) Sheppard, Fred Sheppard, and Everett (Judy) Stewart. Also, many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she all loved dearly. Her warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of many around her. Mildred's memory will forever be cherished by all those who had the privilege of knowing.

Family will receive friends, Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 3-7 pm at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High St., Columbus, OH. 43207 where funeral service will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 11:00 am with Pastor Tim Rohrbacker and Reverend Roy Mitchell officiating.
