Mildred Kathleen "Kay" Held, AKA "Maw", age 90, of Columbus, died at home on September 24, 2013 after a short illness. Born on April 11, 1923, she was the eldest daughter of Flayo and Mista Miller of Ripley, WV. Member of Alkire Rd. Church of Christ. She loved to travel, read, cook, and spend time with family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, William J. Held, son John Held, brothers Lee, Raymond, and Royall Miller, sister Christina Lockett, all of OH, three half-sisters Pat Stevens, Betty Bower, and Ann Robinson, and a half-brother Bill Miller. Kay is survived by her son, Wayne (Gracie) Held, of Columbus, where she made her home for the past 15 years; daughter, Sharon (Tim) Green, of Peebles, OH; half-sister, Jean Randolph; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and relatives that she dearly loved. Visitation Thursday, September 26 from 4 - 8 PM at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will take place Friday at 10 AM. Mark Bass officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery.
