Michael Blake

Michael G. Blake, age 65, of Lancaster, Ohio, February 9, 2009. He was a Columbus Police Officer from 1970 through 1991, an original 12-yr member of the Columbus Swat Team from 1974 thru 1986, also a Patrolman and Narcotics Officer, member of F.O.P. Capital City Lodge No. 9 and Lancaster F.O.E. Preceded in death by parents, Ishmael and Carlita Blake, infant son, Michael Steven Blake, daughter-in-law, Debbra Blake, and niece Kristi Wright. Survived by loving wife of 45 years, Vicki; son, Brett Blake of Lancaster, and daughter, Amy (John) Eckman of Portland, Oregon; 3 grandchildren, Danielle , Abigail and Tyler Blake; brothers Pat (Susan) of Lancaster and I.Gary (Mary) Blake of Columbus; sister, Connie (Bill) Fillippi of Arizona, many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High Street, Columbus, where F.O.P Retirees Service will be held Friday 3 PM.
