Mary Sheehan

Mary June (Strickfaden) Sheehan, age 88, of Westerville, went to meet the Lord August 21, 2009. Preceded in death by husband William Sheehan; parents, former Columbus Fire Chief Walter G. Strickfaden and Olga Strickfaden; brothers and sister-in-law Jack Strickfaden, Robert Strickfaden, James and Kay Strickfaden. Survived by sons William Sheehan Jr. (and special friend Francene Faulkner), Thomas (Colleen) Sheehan; grandchildren Patrick (Jen) Sheehan, Christopher (Carrie) Sheehan, James (Brandie) Sheehan, Suzanne (Chad) Williams, and Elisabeth (Adam) Beine; great-grandchildren Makayla, Colin, Audrey, Sean, Madison, Evan and Jake; sister-in-law Betty Strickfaden who was married to Robert. Worked for many years as an executive secretary at Ohio National Bank and the Ohio Company. Mary June was a graduate of Rosary High School Class of 1939 in Columbus. She belonged to many clubs and organizations, including Wing 57 and the St. Timothy's Roman Catholic Church Women's Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a former avid bowler. She also loved to travel and enjoyed reading in her later years. Arrangements by GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High Street with burial to follow, The Reverend Fr. Charles Cotton, Celebrant.
