Marvin Pastor

Marvin H. Pastor, age 80, of Gahanna, born December 22, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio, passed away December 9, 2013 at home. U.S. Navy Veteran, Korean War. Retired from Ohio Bell after 35 years of service. Member of St. Matthew the Apostle Church. Graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas, Class of 1951. Lifetime member of USSVI, Columbus Base USSVI, VFW Post #4719, and Telephone Pioneers. He is preceded in death by mother, Rose Pastor; father, Arthur Pastor, and sister, Helen Treneff; Marv is survived by wife, Joan of 56 years of marriage; daughters and sons-in-law, Laura (Robert) Kowaleski-Frantz of TX., and Linda (Mark) Hermes of TX., and son and daughter-in-law, Joe (Patti Sullivan-Pastor) Pastor of Pataskala; grandchildren, Julie (BraxtonTurnage) Kowaleski, Chris (Shannon Smith) Kowaleski, Rachel Hermes, Hunter Hermes, and Ellie Pastor; great-granddaughter, Addison Bullinger; several nephews and nieces. Visitation Wednesday December 11, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. (Submarine Veteran Memorial Service at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday) at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday 11 a.m. at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, 801 Havens Corner Rd., Gahanna OH 43230, Fr. Ryan Schmit, Celebrant (Procession to form at the church).
