She was a retired physical education teacher who taught over 30 years, first at West Junior, Jenny F Snapp, and the longest tenure with C Fred Johnson School system. Marie's greatest loves in life were her family and the students she had in school throughout the years. In her final days, she asked to make sure the children were taken care of properly. To her students specifically, she loved you all and wished the best in life for you. Marie made many good friends in her life through her church, her professional life, and with the Zuleika Temple No. 9 Daughters of the Nile. Her favorite activity was tennis. She had great tennis buddies that kept her active and young at heart. During her later years, she swam with a group of regulars at the YMCA in Johnson City. She told everyone she loved them whether they were family, strangers, or friends. She had a kindness of spirit that lifted those who were troubled. She loved a good party. She loved her church. Marie was proud of her hometown of Taylor, Pennsylvania. To all of you who read this obituary, her family wants you to know she is at peace with God. Do not grieve. Rejoice! She is home.
