Margie Friesland

Margie Elizabeth Friesland, age 97, of Columbus, went peacefully to be with her Lord on October 11, 2012. Longtime resident of Emeritus Senior Living. She was born in Bluff City, Tennessee on December 9, 1914. She was a wonderful wife, mom and grandma who loved her family and devoted her life to taking care of them. She faithfully served her Lord through her membership of Thurman Avenue United Methodist Church for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Basil Friesland, sons Hal Friesland, Paul Friesland, and daughter Shirley Bernthold. Survived by sons, Clyde (Dottie) Friesland, Randy (Lisa) Friesland and son-in-law, Frankie Bernthold. She was a much loved grandma of 8 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 4 - 8 PM on Tuesday, October 16 at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will take place at 10 AM Wednesday. Final resting place Green Lawn Cemetery.
