Lois J. Bierley

Lois J. Bierley age 90, of Columbus, born in Portsmouth, Ohio on December 23, 1931, to GE and Clarice Meyer, passed away on May 24, 2022. Graduated from Portsmouth East High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Portsmouth. Retired from Mercy – Columbus Community Hospital in 2001 after 36 ½ years of service. She was a charter member of Madison Christian Church. Lois loved creating beautiful needlework, knitting, and crocheting to share with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Bierley and brother, David Meyer. Survived by son, Rickey (Julie) Bierley of Columbus; daughters, Cathy (Mike) Swisher of Groveport, and Connie (Bob) Fisher of Indiana; grandchildren, Chad (Brandi) Swisher and Darin Swisher of Groveport, Brittney and Brandt Fisher of Indiana, and Bob Lawson of Florida; great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Case Swisher of Groveport; sister-in-law, Eva Meyer of Florida.

Family will receive friends, Friday, May 27, 2022, beginning at 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Madison Christian Church, 3565 Bixby Rd., Groveport, Ohio 43125, with Pastor Paul Barnes officiating.
