Leola McKown

Leola "Lee" M. McKown, age 79, died August 29, 2011 at Doctors West Hospital, former resident of Grove City, currently of Carriage Court, Hilliard. Preceded in death by son Scott Andrew, and father John Morrow. Survived by husband, Daniel W. McKown; children, John (Lisa) McKown of Nelsonville, Joyce (Francis) Schneider and Lori (Mark) Wood, all of Columbus; grandchildren, Kellie (John) Patton, John (Kelly) McKown, Adam McKown, Kenny Houseman, Nick Houseman, Terra (Robert) Schulz, Jeanna (John) Diederich, Kelly McCreary, Rae Marie Lieb, Ryan Michelle (Ryan) Pettit and Jordan Wood; 14 great-grandchildren; mother, Geneva Morrow; and sisters, Ruth Davanzo and Betty (Frank) Garbuglio; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Member of Grove City Church of the Nazarene. She will be remembered for family meals and her specialities, pickled beets and eggs, cabbage rolls and wonderful baked goods, as well as the hat parade at Holden Beach. Visitation Thursday 4-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High Street, Columbus, where service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2011. Pastor Owen Stotts and Rev. Dr. William Snider officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association .
