Leeotis Burrows

Leeotis Franklin Burrows (Odie), was born on October 19, 1932 in Hogsett, West Virginia.  He went to his Heavenly home on August 24, 2022 in the presence of his family.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Leigh Anne Truett, and parents, Emzie and Evelyn Burrows, Brother Charles (Jay) Burrows, sister Beulah (Bea) Stout and brother Cleo (Popeye) Burrows.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Jeanette (Duncan) Burrows, daughter Teresa (Terry) Varney, grandsons, Chad (Amber) Varney, Corey Truett and Cody Truett.  Great grandchildren, Reese, Dixon, Ellasyn and Adalynne.  He also has many nieces and nephews.

He was proud to have served his country in the Korean War. He was a member of Canaan Land Church.  Odie was gentle, loving and kind to all.  He loved fishing and hunting.  Most of all, he loved the Lord.

The family will receive friends at Canaan Land Church on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 noon, Pastor Shawn Beauchamp officiating.  Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery.
