Larry Whitman

Larry Whitman, age 60, of Columbus, went home to his Heavenly mansion on June 19, 2007. Larry loved life and was very positive and adored his sons and 3 grandchildren. Served in U.S. Navy for 21 years and continued service with the government at DFAS for 17 years. Member of Parsons Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Treasurer. Sharing God without fear was important to Larry. He is preceded in death by parents, Dan and Gertrude Whitman and brother, Danny Whitman. Survived by wife of 37 years, Cindy "Cinderella" Whitman; sons and daughter-in-law, Larry II. and Heidi Whitman and Todd Whitman; grandchildren, Zachary, Carter and Grace; nieces, Chris Brennan and Kim Puckett; special sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sharon, Joy, Michael, Channing, Bobby and many other relatives. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street. Service Friday 1:30 p.m. at Parsons Baptist Church, 3930 Parson Ave., Columbus, Ohio, Rev. Terry Jesse officiating. Larry was respected and loved by many and will be missed.
