Kim Backus

Kimberly E. Backus, who was born on November 2, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, to Charles and Carol (Meier) Backus passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 62. She was a retired barber for many years who was known for her caring heart and was a great friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, partner Cindy Taylor, grandparents Charles and Lulu Backus and Lester and Ellamae Meier. Also, uncle Donnie (Annie) Backus, uncle Delbert Backus, uncle Kenny Meier, Uncle Lester (Peggy) Meier, nephews William Charles and Dustin Allen Prater, and niece Katrina Layne Prater. She is survived by her son Jason Bruck and family, her sisters, Chris (Jr.) Lowder, Connie (Randy) Crabtree, Cheryl Prater, niece Kayla Prater, and nephew Charles Prater. Also survived by her Aunt Sharon (Ronnie) Yates and many nieces and nephews, along with her partner Cindy Taylor's grandchildren and family. A special "Thank You" to her friend Amber Norman for her dedicated care and to Cathy Lewingdon and Patti Johnson for their friendship of more than 40 years. Family will receive friends Wednesday November 6, 2024, beginning at 4 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High St., Columbus, Ohio 43207.
