Joshua R. Manning

Joshua R. Manning, age 20, AKA, “Sugar Bear” or “Football” passed away on August 23, 2021, surrounded by his family. At the age of 10 Joshua received the diagnosis of Lennox Gastaut Syndrome, but this did not matter because to us we already knew he was special. Joshua did not have opinion or hate in his heart. He never judged people, he only had love that shined through his smile and radiated the most magnificent glow. Joshua had a zest for life and overcame almost anything he faced in his life. Joshua watched over his younger brothers as they slept at night. Joshua loved school, and to everyone’s amazement learned to answer test questions using a eye gaze device. By living every day for the moment and quality of life over quantity, he was able to graduate and was a wonderful example, when there is a will there is a way. Joshua graduated and received a diploma from Pickerington North High School, Class of 2021, Forest Rose School, and Fairfield County Board of MRDD. His strength and determination guided him and his family through the difficult times.

Joshua is preceded in death by father, Jeff Manning; maternal grandmother, Bev Humphrey; paternal grandfather, John Manning; nana, Lynn Mullins; great-great-grandparents, Pat and John Hall; aunt and uncle, Cheryl and Brent Zoebenica;

Survived by his mothers, Tracie Manning and Caylie Mullins; brothers, Jeremiah and Jaedyn Mullins; cousin, Maelynne Collins; aunt and uncle, Lindsey and Robert DeCarlo; paternal grandparents, Judy and David Hartley; maternal grandparents, Rob and Bobbie Hall, David Mullins and Christie Casaday; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family will receive friends on Monday, August 30, 2021, beginning at 5:30 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43207, with Pastor Tim Lee officiating. Private burial Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Kingwood Memorial Park.
