Joseph Ruggles

Joseph J. Ruggles, age 93, of Springfield, Ohio celebrated his homecoming on January 5 ^th , 2018. Born February 11, 1924 in Flemingsburg, KY to William H. & Mabel Ruggles, he was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife of 61 years Alta Ruggles and grandsons, Ian Ruggles and Corbin Hiser.  He was the esteemed and loving father of Joseph R (Claudia) Ruggles; daughter, Jane (Daniel) Kopp and cherished grandfather to Amanda (David) Jones; Jeremy Kopp and Brannyn (Timothy) Hiser and great grandfather to Angel Jones; Colin, Annika and Brayden Ruggles and Owen, Everett, Colton & Emma Hiser. Joe served others - earning a purple heart as a United States Marine in WWII, owning a local grocery, serving his Lord and Savior exceedingly faithfully in his local church and modeling marriage and family like few others.  He is ever so respected and missed. Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 10, 2018 beginning at 9:00 am until time of service at 10:00 am at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St. (Columbus) Rev. Daniel W. Kopp officiating.  Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad Street, 43213.
