James B. Wellman, age 45, of Columbus, a proud father, devoted papaw and a loving son went home to be with the Lord on January 21, 2008 after fighting a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Worked for the past 9 years with USPS as a carrier and thought very highly of his co-workers who he adored as friends. Graduate of Marion Franklin High School. Attended South Columbus Free Will Baptist Church. Survived by his parents, Buell and Maxine Wellman of Columbus; children, Shanna (Mike) Browning of Grove City; Rikki Wellman, Paige Wellman and Cameron Wellman of Columbus; grandchildren, Mikey, Trevor and Abbie Browning; sister, Lois (Larry) Moore of Columbus; 3 nieces, 3 nephews, other relatives and special friend, Kathryn Walkowicz and other many friends. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Friday 10 a.m., Pastor Tim Stevens officiating. Interment Union Cemetery. Those who wish may direct contributions to the American Cancer Society or Ohio Health Hospice.
