James Reed

James C. Reed, age 81, of Columbus, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday February 17, 2010 at Grant Medical Center. Retired from C&O Railroad after 42 years of service. U.S. Marine Corps. Veteran. Member of American Legion Southway Post No. 144. Jim was very active in SILLS Little League Baseball. He loved gardening and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Preceded in death by son James "Jimmy" Reed; parents Clifford and Neva Reed. Survived by wife of 59 1/2 years, Hilda "Jeanne" Craft Reed; sons Charles "Butch" (Bonnie) Reed of Williamsport, OH., Brian (Tami) Reed of Columbus; daughters Terri Reed and Ginger Reed of Columbus; grandchildren Charlie Renee (George) Lesko, Brandon Reed, Cori Reed, Terry Lee Hale III, Samantha Hale and Arrick Pearson; great-grandson Caiden Lesko; special nephew Jon (Mendy) Stoecklin and many other nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Saturday 11 a.m., Rev. Dr. William L. Snider and Pastor Steve Combs officiating. Interment with Military Honors at Fernwood Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
