James R. Malloy, age 86, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
Preceded in death by son, Bradley Malloy, parents, Frank Malloy and Louise (Walter) Boettcher, and sister, Alwilda Tomsic.
He is survived by wife of 64 years, Juanita (Stewart) Malloy; son, Mitchell (Linda) Malloy; daughter-in-law, Cindy Malloy; grandchildren, James (Jennifer Thatcher) Malloy, Michelle (Richard) Rizzuto, Kimberly (Manuel) Turcios, and Christopher Malloy; great-grandchildren, Brandon (Sarah) and Rori Malloy, Tanner Thatcher, and Ethan and Brady Rizzuto; great-great-grandson, Caleb Miller; brother Cameron Malloy, and many more nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Member of The Living Word Church; Served in U.S. Army while stationed in Ft. Knox, KY. Retired from the Columbus Dispatch after 35 years. Columbus South High School graduate. Member of South Gate-Potter Lodge No. 782 F&AM. Avid Yankee and Buckeye fan.
Family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016 from 1-5 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street (Masonic Service Sunday 5 p.m.). Funeral service Monday 11 a.m. at The Living Word Church, 145 Obetz Rd., Columbus, OH 43207, Rev. John Brainard officiating. Interment with military honors to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
