Jack Waugh

Jack Carter Waugh, 82, of Columbus, passed Thursday, July 12, 2012 with his family by his side. Born February 4, 1930 to Arthur Perry Waugh and Eva Carter Waugh. Preceded in death by Eva, Arthur, and Arthur's second wife, Edra Elva Thompson, who was a kind and loving mother to Jack and his sister Jean. Also preceded in death by son, Jackie Carter Waugh, brother, James Waugh, and sister, Judy Waugh. Jack is survived by wife Pauline Scott Waugh; daughters, Wanda Waugh (Terry Salts), Mary Waugh-Smith (Greg), Michelle Basinger (Scott); grandchildren, Jacob Waugh (Carrie), Larry Bowshier, Jamie Ault, Abigail and Emily Basinger; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, John Waugh (Patti), Jerry Waugh (Carla); sisters, Jean Blakeman (Glenn), Janet Wise(Bill Haywood), JoAnn Willett (David); many nieces, nephews and friends. Jack was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict, and was a life member of Amvets Post 1312 and VFW Post 3424. He retired from the City of Columbus garage after 30 years as a heavy equipment mechanic. He enjoyed listening to old country music and gospel songs on his eight track player. Visitation Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 12 - 3 and 5 - 8 PM at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will take place Monday at 10 AM, Elder Gloria Burge officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery.
