Helen Athey

Helen W. Athey, age 85, of Columbus, passed away May 28, 2015 at home. Preceded in death by husband, Eugene "Gene" Athey; son, Eugene "Red" Athey; grandson, Errol Reynolds; parents, Oscar and Emma Lamb; 4 siblings. Survived by children, Cheryl (Michael) Clark, Steven (Lori) Athey, Karen (Gene) Young, and Paula (Lee) Whitt; 9 grandchildren;13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Fincham and Virginia Morgan; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Family wishes to thank Joyce, Lloyd, Kelly, Megan, and Candice for the care and support provided to their mother.

Family will receive friends Monday June 1, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Tuesday 10 a.m., Chaplain Lloyd Markley officiating.
