Harold Obert

Harold E. Obert, age 81, of Columbus, passed away July 26, 2012 at home with his family at his side. U.S. Army Veteran. Member of Fourth Avenue Christian Church. Retired from Anderson Concrete after 36 years of service. Graduate of HamiltonTownship High School. Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Lena Obert; siblings, Carl, Robert, Ernest, Lawrence, Mary and Doris. Survived by wife of 57 years, Velma; daughters and sons-in-law, Devonna and Peer Hagan of Norway, Diana and Mark Richardson, Brenda and Paul Lenihan and Bonnie and Michael Bidlack all of Columbus; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren on the way. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street. Service Wednesday 11 a.m. at Fourth Avenue Christian Church, 296 W. Fourth Ave., Columbus OH 43201, Pastor Joe Bliffen officiating. Interment with military honors to follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the church or to Mt. Carmel Hospice.
