Gladys Leach

Dinkie Leach, born Gladys Ada to James and Nellie Butler, on November 16, 1922 in Columbus, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 16, 2007 in Hanford, CA. Dink lived her entire life in Columbus except for a brief period of time she spent in Hanford, CA on an extended vacation. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 1/2 years, Oscar "Junior" Leach; her parents, 3 brothers, Jack, Bub and John Butler; 2 sisters, infant Donna Butler and Ruth Ann Hiatt. She is survived by a daughter, Diana Lane, Dallas TX and 2 sons; Larry (wife, Carolyn) of Hebron, OH and Terry from Chatsworth, CA; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Tom Butler, San Pedro, CA; Dan Butler, Strasburg, CO; 4 sisters; Babe Pollard, Glendale, CA; Nancy Norman, Hanford, CA; Aggie Nelson, Washougal, WA and Patty Van Valkenburg. She was a member of Sonshine Mission for 68 years where she enjoyed being a part of the Young at Heart group. Dink played the organ and she and her husband loved being a member of the Organ Club. She was an avid reader and especially loved reading the Word of God. Dink volunteered at Mercy Hospital for approximately 25 years and ended her time of service there when the hospital closed. She leaves cherished friends and neighbors. Family will receive friends Sunday 2-6 PM at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High Street, where a celebration of her life will be held Monday, 10 AM, Rev. Roy Murray officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
