Faith Ann Groom

Faith Ann Groom, age 59, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. Faith was born March 11, 1964, in Columbus, OH to Charles "Chuck" and Donna McInerney Groom. She graduated from Walnut Ridge High School in 1982, pridefully a member of the Lady Scots Basketball team. Faith was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and some of her happiest moments were spent involved in church activities and singing in the choir. Her world revolved around her dogs, and she had many throughout her life. She cheered for both the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Marshall University Thundering Herd. The room lit up when Faith walked in and everyone who knew and loved her is better because of her influence in their lives. Faith is preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Chuck" and Donna McInerney Groom; brother, Danny Groom, and grandparents Paul and Virginia Layman. She is survived by her brothers, Randy (Susie) Groom and Keith (Carolyn) Groom; Uncle, Robert J. (Wanda) McInerney;  nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephew; cousins; Godmother, Phyllis Debenport and a close circle of friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Faith to your local animal shelter.

Family will receive friends Saturday, October 7, 2023, beginning at 11:00 am until the time of Memorial Service at 12 noon at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 80 E. Markison Ave., Columbus, OH. 43207.
