Edward Highfield

Edward R. Highfield, age 78, of Mt. Sterling passed away September 2, 2022. Member of Heritage Free Will Baptist Church. Retired logistics driver with Columbus City Schools. Ed loved his family, friends, fishing, woodworking, and camping. He was a perfectionist, funny, and hardworking.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Mary Highfield; siblings, Barbara Wilburn, Herbert Highfield Jr., and Kenneth Highfield. Ed is survived by his wife, Sharon Highfield; son, Greg (Kim) Highfield; special nephew, Gary (Lori) Highfield; stepchildren, Dana Newsome and Matthew (Ally) Newsome; 15 grandchildren, Austin, Alexis, Gracie, Raygen, Megan, Cory, Sierra, Erica, Lauren, Dallas, Austin, Chenoa, Aiden, Kempton, and Jamison; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly (Robert) Perkins; sister-in-law, Peggy Highfield; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Close friends, Paul and Nancy Edwards, April and BJ Boyer, and Karen Widmeyer.

Family will receive friends, Thursday, September 8, 2022, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Heritage Free Will Baptist Church, 575 Obetz Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43207.
