Edith (Dodie) Duncan, born December 11, 1940, daughter of William (Emma) Hackney, Edith Delores (Hackney) Duncan went to be with her Lord September 16, 2022, at the age of 81 years. Dodie was born in Paintsville, KY. As a young girl, she moved to Ohio, and she was a faithful member of the Wonderland Church (Whitehall, OH). As an adult, she continued serving the Lord at Welch Avenue Free Will Baptist Church (Columbus, OH), Pleasant View Free Will Baptist Church (Grove City, OH), Canaan Land Church (Grove City, OH), and Spring Hill Baptist Church (Spring Hill, TN).
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her sister Ella Jean (Ermel) Brewer; brother, Charles (Sarah) Hackney. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Gene Duncan; her sister Alice (Jerry) Fink; daughter Tracie (Phil) Davis; daughter Christy (Tony) Hammond; son Darren (Rhonda) Duncan; Grandchildren Jeremy (Jeni Davis; Brad (Jess) Davis; Kyle (Kayla) Davis; Lauren (Daniel) Tilson, Ally (George) Balut, Zachary Hammond; Will, Anna Leigh, and Christian Duncan; and 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Monday, September 19, 2022, beginning at 11 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12 noon at Heritage Free Will Baptist Church, 575 Obetz, Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43207 with Pastor Dr. Tim W.
