Dorothy Little, age 84, passed away on February 18, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 3, 1938. She lived her whole life in the Columbus area, residing in the same home for 60 years before having to move to memory care. She was a working mother and retired from Mt. Carmel Hospital. She enjoyed her church family and participated in choir and other activities. Her passions included: travel, camping, gardening (especially her flower gardens and roses), square dancing, long walks, and her cat Carlin. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandson. She was a big fan of the Cincinnati Reds and never missed an opportunity to watch them play. The family wants to thank her best friend and neighbor of more than 50 years Carol Wycoff for all the support and help she provided to allow her to be able to stay in her own home as long as she could (our mother considered her the sister that she never had). Special thanks to her brother for all his support and visits through the years and especially during her time spent in memory care. The family wants to thank the Echo Hospice team for the care she received and the Mt. Carmel hospice team that cared for her during her final days. Thanks also to the wonderful staff at Tuscany Gardens that provided compassionate care during her final days.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy M. Fogle; her first husband (high school sweetheart) George E. Lewis, and once widowed, her second husband Donald Little. She is survived by her children, George (Mary Anne) Lewis of Hyde Park, Vermont; Brenda (Alan) Oyer of Pickerington, Ohio; Pam (Bob) Osborne of Powell, Ohio; grandchildren: Patrick Lewis, Artimis Lewis, Deseray Lewis, Matt (Andi) Fulk, Mike (Alyssa) Fulk, Riley Oyer and Chase Osborne; great grandson: Samson Fulk; brother: Donald (Michaelene) Fogle of Groveport, Ohio and their children Kristin Tull and Kevin Fogle, numerous nieces and nephews.
