Dolly Halsey

Dolly M. (Covan) Halsey, 93, of Daphne, AL, formerly of Columbus, OH, passed away on October 8th, 2016 surrounded by loved ones.

Memberships include Matron of the Eastern Star and Emmanuel Lutheran Church located in Columbus, OH. Dolly was exceptionally dedicated to her family. She made many sacrifices to take care of her loving husband, children and grandchildren. Dolly was like a second mother to her many grandchildren, because she took an active role in helping raise them.

Preceded in death by parents William and Mildred Covan; husband Charles L. Halsey Sr.; daughters Linda Blakeway of Daphne, AL and Catherine Baker of Grove City, OH; including many loved brothers and sisters.

Survived by son Charles L. Halsey Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; sister Josephine Poole of New Albany, OH; brother Arthur Covan of Westerville, OH; grandchildren, Beth Sullivan, Jennifer Patton, Jessica Dawes, Hoyt Jason Baker, Megan Halsey, Jonathan Halsey and Joshua Baker; great-granddaughters Alana Dawes, Ava Dawes and Eisley Baker; including many loved nieces, nephews and other relatives.
