Delores Woodward

Delores J (Dee), Age 80, passed away Saturday, May 8th, 2010 at Grant Hospital. Delores was born June 5, 1929 in Tampa, FL and moved to Columbus, OH when she was 16 years old. She graduated from Bexley High School in 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents Earnest and Dorothy Bleil and by her son Roger K. Woodward in 2002. She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 60 years Wendell K. Woodward, Jr. and her loving children Mark D. (Patricia) Woodward, Cynthia L. (Anthony) Chesonis, Wayne R. (Bonnie) Woodward and Regina Woodward, grandchildren Scott (Teri) Chesonis, Brenda (Ray) Guman, Rhonda (John) Churchill, Kenneth Woodward and Gail Perry, great grandchildren Owen Perry and Jonathon and Amanda Guman. Delores enlisted in the WAC's November 10, 1949 and was honorably discharged October 16, 1950. She married Wendell Woodward on August 31, 1950 at Fort Monmouth, NJ. Together they raised five wonderful children. She loved her husband and her family with all of her heart. She is an oral cancer survivor who lived her life to its fullest. She was an amazing woman who loved to bake, do crossword puzzles, travel and make others happy. She loved to bowl and was a member of 2 senior leagues at Stardust Lanes. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to casinos. She made a friend wherever she went. She is loved by many and will be missed by all.
