Delmas Sargent

Delmas Gilbert Sargent was born December 17, 1931, 92 years old, joined the Heavenly choir on October 17, 2024, surrounded by family at the Inn at Summit Trail. He is proceeded in death by his parents, William Thurston and Louie Grey Sargent. His wife of 24 years Oreta Sargent. His wife of 41 years Ellen Sargent. His brothers, Junior, Leo, John, and Dwight Sargent. His sisters Jean Hopkins, Patty Smith, Rosealee Sargent and Baby Girl Sargent. Survived by his brothers Herman Dale, Tracy and Charles and sister Kathern. His five children: Gary and Patty Sargent, Jerry and Jeannie Sargent, Helen and Bobby Williams, Lowell and Pamela Cordial, and David and Carol Cordial. His Grandchildren: Kyle, Sarah, Reuben, Heather, Beth, Jennifer, Jeremy, Kristin and Tosha and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

 Delmas was a US Army Korean War Veteran. He retired from General Motors after 30 years. He was a member and deacon of Reynoldsburg FWB Church. He loved singing, going on visitation and mowing the lawn with his good buddy, Don Dowdy. He was an avid golfer and a jack of all trades. He loved being busy outside and watching the Dallas Cowboys and car races.

Visitation Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 5 to 8 pm at Reynoldsburg FWB Church, 9508 Taylor Rd. SW, Reynoldsburg OH 43068 with funeral service Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 11 am. (Visitation 10 am to 11 am) Pastor Jerry Sargent officiating. Interment to follow at Obetz Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Reynoldsburg FWB Church.
