David Chapman

David "Smokie" Chapman, Sr., age 64, died September 20, 2011, at Ohio State Medical Center. U.S. Marine Veteran, Vietnam War, member of American Legion Post 144. Retired from the Columbus Dispatch. Preceded in death by parents, Russell Chapman and Harriet Hawk. Survived by wife, Sharon, son, David Jr., and daughter, Starlene (Douglas) Baird, both of Columbus. grandchildren, Evan, Brandon, and Kaden; sister, Barbara (Ed) Morgan of Springfield, OH., several nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, September 23, from 12 Noon until time of service at 1:00 PM at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High St., Pastor Mark Rucker officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery, with Military Honors by Southway Post 144.
