Carolyn Driggs died on June 27, 2007. She was 92. She passed peacefully with her children around her. Carolyn lived a full life enjoying the blessing of a large family, life-long friends and a church family that provided support, encouragement and much happiness. In death she is reunited with many family and friends that preceded her. Among them are: husband, Eugene Driggs; parents, Carl and May Beyer; brothers Fred and Carl Beyer; sister, Clara Ryerson; and grandson, Joel Blazer. Surviving her are: her children and their spouses; Carol Wolfenbarger and her husband Guy; Jerry Driggs and his wife Deborah Zeisloft; and Jim Driggs; her grandchildren: John Blazer, Jacob Driggs, and Sarah Driggs; her great grandchildren: Sarah and Randy Blazer; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Carolyn was an active member, Sunday school teacher, treasurer, and conference delegate at the Ohio Ave. United Methodist Church and later in life a member of the Livingston United Methodist Church. She worked her entire life providing and caring for her family. She held positions at Children?s Hospital and later at the Lazarus Department store from where she retired after more than 20 years of service. Upon retirement she volunteered and worked at the church. Our memories of the example she set through the life she lived are gifts she left each person that knew her. She had faith in the future, found goodness in people she met and persevered against the odds. She will be missed. Our family extends a special ?thank-you? to Sheri Smith, Carolyn?s constant caregiver and companion during the last five years of her life. Her friendship and care added quality, laughter and well being to Carolyn?s life. We also are grateful for the attention and wonderful nursing care support provided by the staff at the Westminster Thurber Community. Visitation will be Friday June 29, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME 1351 S. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207.
